Between creating the holiday entertainment brand Holiday Love, directing well-known shows including Kenan & Kel, Tyler Perry’s House of Payne and Meet the Browns, and launching her own entertainment networks, she is a woman of many talents. When she’s not in front of the camera, directing and producing projects, or speaking and motivating audiences, Kim is constantly working to grow her brand. Kim continues to lead a busy Hollywood life by regularly appearing in film, television, and theatre productions. Although Kim may be new to the reality television world, she is no stranger to being in the global spotlight. A pop culture icon and veteran actress/director, Kim became a household name after starring in several hit sitcoms including Facts of Life and Living Single. Kim Fields currently lives in Atlanta with her husband, Christopher Morgan, and their 8-year-old and 20-month-old sons. Even today, viewers remember the gossipy ‘Tootie’ and her mannerisms. This character made Kim highly popular among viewers. This turned out to be one of the longest aired sitcoms on ‘NBC.’ It was telecast from 1979 to 1988. When ‘The Facts of Life,’ a spin-off of ‘Diff’rent Strokes,’ was produced, Kim got the role of ‘Tootie’ once again. In 1979, she was selected for portraying the role of Dorothy ‘Tootie’ Ramsey, a boarding school resident, for the sitcom, ‘Diff’rent Strokes.’ Though she played her part in only five episodes, it marked the beginning of the progress in her career. She got her first major role at the age of 9. Kim Fields stepped into the arena of acting when she was quite young. She has a younger sister, Alexis Fields, who is also an established actress. Her mother, Laverne ‘Chip’ Fields is an actress and television director. Kim Fields was born on May 12, 1969, in Harlem, New York. Both the indoor and outdoor program will include a VIP reception, food and hot beverages, local celebrity and jazz performances. This community driven program will include Harlem leadership, elected officials and partner organizations.
The Holiday Jazz Tree Lighting will take place that evening at the national historical landmark, The Cecil and Minton’s Playhouse, and begins at 7:30. The day will kick off with indoor and outdoor holiday activities for children such as face painting and feature a Jazz education program and performances to share holiday cheer. This exciting event will take place on Wednesday, December 4, 2019.
